Paediatrics

Department of Pediatric medicine is 77 bedded state of art medical facility of shaikh Zayed medical complex, Lahore established in 1986.Prof.Dr.Sajid Maqbool was first professor of unit. Now Prof.Dr.Muhammad Aslam is heading the department. He played an astonishing role in making this unit as ROLE OF MODEL UNIT. The department comprised of five different sections including ICU, Emergency, Pediatric ward, Neonatal unit and Outpatient Department delivering standard services to patient round the clock seven days a week. Our intensive care unit, neonatal unit and emergency are well equipped with all equipment meeting international standards. Aims of our unit are

• To provide best quality medical care to patients
• To deliver standard medical education to undergraduates and postgraduate students
• To promote interest in research publication.

Our supervisors have been providing quality education to postgraduate trainees of FCPS, MCPS, MD and DCH programs since 1986.More than 100 of our students passed their postgraduate exams and delivering services all over the world. Our department is approved for undergraduate and postgraduate training program from PMDC, CPSP and University Of Health Sciences, Lahore
