Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

The subject of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology is an essential part of training of MBBS 3rd year. It deals with training of students for conduction of postmortem and medico-legal examinations, techniques for detection of poisons and trace evidence. Search for truth is essence of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology. This Department is established in June, 2011 and is totally indulged in under graduates and post graduates training

The department has started postgraduate diploma in medical jurisprudence in Forensic Medicine & Toxicology in 2013 and enrolled 04 students who are well trained under the guidance of Professor dr Nasreen Ehsan.

For autopsy and Medicolegal work we are attatched with Allama Iqbal Medical College where our students of undergraduate & postgraduate programmes do observership for two and three months respectively to have practical knowledge regarding Autopsy and Medicolegal work.

Department is having a state of the art museum, with all the specimen of interest for students including poison, weapon of assault and snakes of all types.
